Terms of Use
Effective date: October 16, 2026 · Applies to the Rouie app and rouie.app
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ROUIE LLC ("Rouie," "we," "us," or "our"), an Illinois limited liability company. By creating an account or using Rouie, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Rouie.
2. Who can use Rouie
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Rouie. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
3. Your content
"Your content" means the routines, entries, notes, photos, videos, voice recordings, comments, chat messages, and anything else you add to Rouie. You own your content.
To run the app, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content only as needed to provide Rouie to you and to the people you choose to share it with (for example, the members of a team or public routine), and to provide the features you turn on, such as AI features. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that remain in backups for a limited time.
You're responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to share, and don't post other people's private information or images without their permission.
4. Community rules: zero tolerance
Team and public routines, comments, chats, and the feed let you share with other people. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to post or do any of the following:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of anyone.
- Hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Illegal activity, or content that promotes it.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or misleading content.
- Sharing someone else's personal information (doxxing) or private images.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Attempts to hack, disrupt, scrape, or misuse Rouie or other people's accounts.
5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
- Report: you can report any entry, comment, or chat message from another user using the Report option in the app.
- Block: you can block any user. Their content is hidden from you, and they can't interact with you through Rouie.
- Our response: we review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours. We may remove content, and we may suspend or permanently remove the account of anyone who violates these rules, without notice.
- Routine owners can hide content in routines they own and remove members. Hidden content stays visible to its author.
If you believe content was removed by mistake, email us at the address below and we'll take another look.
6. Shared and public routines
When you post in a team or public routine, the other members of that routine can see what you post. Shared and public routines include group AI, which lets members ask the AI questions that compare entries in that routine; joining one requires agreeing to this, as described in our Privacy Policy. Choose carefully what you share. You can leave a routine at any time.
7. AI features
Rouie's optional AI features (the AI tab and Insights) generate responses automatically. AI responses are suggestions, not facts. They can be wrong or incomplete and are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Use your own judgment, and talk to a qualified professional about health or other important decisions. How AI features use your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription in the future. If so, payments are processed by Apple (or Google on Android) under their terms, subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your device's account settings, and prices and what's included will be shown before you buy.
9. Our app and changes to it
Rouie, including its design, logo, and software, belongs to ROUIE LLC. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Rouie after that means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Rouie and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect other users or comply with the law.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Rouie is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee that Rouie will always be available or error-free, or that content will never be lost, so keep your own copies of anything important (you can export a routine's entries from the app). To the extent the law allows, ROUIE LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to Rouie is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
13. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded Rouie from Apple's App Store or TestFlight:
- These Terms are between you and ROUIE LLC only, not Apple. ROUIE LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Rouie and its content.
- Your license to use Rouie is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Rouie.
- If Rouie fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Rouie.
- ROUIE LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Rouie, including product liability claims, claims that Rouie fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
- ROUIE LLC, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging any third-party claim that Rouie infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
